Claire High joined Stars magazine following three years as editor of the.Gulf's leading English language woman's magazine , Arabian Woman.As launch editor of AW she set out to produce a magazine for women in the region that did not shy away from covering important social issues , as well as fashion , beauty and the usual women's magazine fare.Highlights of her time with the magazine were meeting and interviewing successful and high achieving women from all walks of life , including celebrities as diverse as Spice Girl Mel C and former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.Claire has been in the Gulf for five years , moving initially to Bahrain to.work on the launch of a daily newspaper , The Bahrain Tribune , before moving to Dubai to work for one year as assistant editor of Living in the Gulf magazine.Before moving to the Gulf , she worked in the UK on regional newspapers as a news reporter and for the Press Association as a sub editor.
