Congratulations to Safe School Facilitator Trudy Higgins and Zero Tolerance Project Campus Sponsors Barbara Burnham of Hightower High School, Barbara Hoffman of Kempner High School and Dena Darroh of Austin High School on their efforts in earning Fort Bend ISD a state award from the Texas Association of Student Councils and Texas Association of Secondary Principals during the recent State Student Council Convention.

Trudy Higgins, Safe School Program facilitator, joined the Safe & Drug Free Department of Fort Bend Independent School District (FBISD) last year.She brings organizational management and program development from the areas of leadership and health education to the program.Her classroom teaching and prevention experiences range from seventh grade to post-secondary.Ms. Higgins and Lisa Pavelek oversee the FBISD grant to reduce alcohol abuse.
