When Patrick Higgins joined Buchanan Ingersoll's Princeton, N.J., office in 2006, he brought with him Celgene Corp. v. Barr Labs Inc., a federal court suit in Newark over Barr's application for FDA approval of a generic version of Celgene's thalidomide.
    ...
But Celgene asserted that Higgins might have confidential information about the Ritalin patents, because from 2002 to 2004, he worked at Mathews, Shepherd, McKay & Bruneau in Princeton, which filed the Ritalin patent applications in 1995 and 1996.

But those filings were long before Higgins arrived at Mathews, Shepherd, and Higgins said in a deposition that he never worked on Ritalin cases while at that firm. Moreover, he had only minor involvement with the KV case before it was filed last October, and he left Buchanan in February for Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott in Philadelphia.
