Mrs. John L. Higgins

Hyannis - Evelyn Marie Lynn ( Hayden ) Higgins died March 17 , 2001 , at Cape Regency Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Centerville.

Mrs. Higgins was born in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School.She had been a resident of Hyannis since 1948 and wintered in Palm Beach , Fla. , for many years.

Mrs. Higgins was a tour guide at the JFK Museum in Hyannis.She had also been an employee of Trade Winds Inn in Craigville , the former Yachtsman Hotel in Hyannis , the selectmen's office in the town of Barnstable , and Buttner's.

She was an accomplished seamstress.She also enjoyed sailing and was a past member of the Cape Cod Power Squadron.

Surviving are a daughter , Judith Anne Segerman of Centerville ; a son , John L. Higgins of Bradenton , Fla. ; four grandchildren ; and two great-grandchildren.
