Higgins, also a 1996 graduate of Tishomingo High School, received his degree in science in 2000 and his math and science education degree in 2002 from East Central University.In college, he was listed in Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities, was a member of Honor Court Justice and bio-med and chemistry clubs.He is a high school biology teacher in Little Elm, Texas.
