There was an impressive list of Speakers and Topics and the Symposium was opened jointly by our President, Mr. Alan Higgins and Sarah Daniels, Centre President and CIEH Trustee.

Mr. Higgins proceeded to discuss repositioning the CIEH Agenda, via its "Roadshows".The need for partnership working, to deliver and administer "Choosing Health" as well as the many factors determining public health were discussed and emphasised the fact that "health" is not an issue for individual agencies or professions.Much more joined-up government is called for and we need a multi-disciplinary approach in all levels of Government as well as the NHS and other relevant organisations.That being said, Mr. Higgins mentioned the specific skills that EHPs have in this area:-
