Dr. Sam Higgingottom

While teaching Economics and Biology. to the students of Ewing Christian College, Dr. Sam Higgingottom felt the need of visiting rural areas in the neghbourhood of the college and interact with the rural peasants in order to understand the economy of that time.It was his interaction with the farmers/peasants of those days that gave birth to Allahabad Agricultural Institute in his heart, and then he decided to go back to USA and obtain a degree in Agriculture and start an Agricultural School at Allahabad.
