Prior to his work at SES, Terry served as the Chief Scientist and Director, Research & Technology, Space & Surveillance Organization at General Dynamics Electronics Systems (formerly GTE), in Mountain View, CA.He was responsible for overall technical guidance for the organization, including the development of technology roadmaps, IR&D program oversight, and technical review and contribution to programs and business development.

Joseph G. Christman, executive vice president and director of the space and communications global practice of Chicago-based search firm DHR International, has placed Dr. Terry Higbee as the director of programs, Aerojet C41 and Information Systems Group, of Aerojet.
