ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Ranked first in his class, Hiers has a 4.29 gradepoint average.He is vice president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, captain of the football team and a member of the National Honor Society.

CAREER GOALS: "I'd like to study business and law in college.I hope to own my own business one day."

ACTIVITIES AND ORGANIZATIONS: Hiers is a member of Letterman's Club, French Club, Anchor Club and the weightlifting team.He is active with the youth group at First Baptist Church of Bartow.On a recent mission trip to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, he helped put a roof on a school.He has done about 200 hours of volunteer work.

WHY DID YOU GET INVOLVED IN WHAT YOU DO?: "I'm very competitive and want to make the best grades, so I strive for that."

AWARDS AND HONORS: Hiers is the Wendy's High School Heisman representative for Bartow High School.He has won the Rotary Award for having at least a 4.0 grade-point average during all three years of high school, as well as the World History Award in 10th grade and AP Language Award in 11th grade.
