Adrian Hieatt gets up very (very) early to write the news bulletins for the Christian O'Connell Breakfast show.

As well as producing top notch stories for a bleary-eyed nation, he can also be heard newsreading and reporting throughout the day.Since joining Virgin Radio, he's bagged interviews with Tony Blair, Sir Alan Sugar and Patrick Stewart amongst others.

Already an award winner, Adrian trained in broadcast journalism at City University in London, before completing stints at BBC Radio One, BBC News 24, the ITV news channel, HardCash Productions, BBC Radio York and ABC News.

Away from work Adrian is a keen musician and a closet karaoke fan - his "Tom Jones" is legendary here at Virgin Radio!
