Melissa Hidy Receptionist

Melissa began working with Children's Harbor Family Center as the Receptionist in June, 2002.Her job is to perform clerical activities associated with meeting, greeting and screening patients, families, and visitors; answering questions; giving directions; and processing varied office materials.She demonstrates positive interpersonal skills in dealing with families, staff of Children's Harbor and Children's Health System, and others to promote teamwork, efficiency, and family-centered care at all times.Melissa graduated from Shades Valley High School in 1997 and proudly attended Auburn University for four years majoring in Human Development and Family Studies.She has previous experience working with children and secretarial work, but this is the first time she has combined the two.Melissa is a team player who demonstrates flexibility in responding to the hospitality needs of all children, families, and staff.Her ability to manage multiple parallel tasks and excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with her passion for working with children and their families, make her a wonderful addition to the Children's Harbor Family.
