  Also, William Hicks, MD, an oncologist in the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute-Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, is the recipient of the 2003 Crystal Stair Award.
  
  The Ohio Commission on Minority Health (OCMH) awards the honor to a person or organization that has made a significant contribution to improving minority health in Ohio.
  
  As part of his community outreach efforts, Hicks co-hosts a radio program, "It's All About Health," devoted exclusively to cancer prevention and education in the African-American community.The program airs regularly on WSMZ 103.1 FM in Columbus.
  
  Hicks is also a founding member of the OCMH and has served on the Ohio Commission of African-American Men.He is also chair of the Columbus Coalition for the National Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer and sits on the board of directors of the Columbus Cancer Clinic.
