ST. MARY'S LOSES FIRST: The third-ranked Saints dropped their first match but with the split against MIAA A Conference teams Loyola (37-28 loss) and Boys' Latin (40-30 win), they moved to 20-1, which St. Mary's coach Wayne Hicks thinks is a school record.
With a win today against Baltimore Lutheran, the Saints will also capture the MIAA B Conference dual-meet title with a perfect 7-0 record.
"I'm really proud of the way my team wrestled this year," Hicks said."It's one heck of an accomplishment."
Hicks said his team's nine-point loss to Loyola basically came down to a near miss of a pin by heavyweight Robert Garland in the first period of his match.

"I knew Loyola would be out toughest match," Hicks said.
