UT Federal Credit Union would like to announce the recent promotion of Karen Gaskins Hicks to be the Martin Branch Manager.

Karen began her career in banking and finance in McKenzie in 1989 with Carroll Bank and Trust.She worked at CB&T for ten years until she moved into the position of Senior Member Service Representative and Head Teller with UT Federal Credit Union in July of 1999.The following year she took on the added responsibility of a loan processor.

In the spring of 2001 , Karen moved into the position of Assistant Branch Manager and was made a loan officer.She held that position until being named a Branch Manager in October of this year.The Martin Branch is one of four branches of UT Federal Credit Union ; the other three are in the Knoxville area.

UT Federal Credit Union serves employees and students of the University of Tennessee at Martin , employees of the City of Martin , Hubbell Lighting and Institutional Distributors and all their family members.UT Federal Credit Union is full service financial institution that is committed to providing members with exceptional service.

UT Federal Credit Union is currently building a new 3 , 000 sq. ft. that will include four loan offices , a manager's office , four teller stations , a two-lane drive-through , conference room and children's play area.

Karen is a 1986 graduate of McKenzie High School and is married to Rodney Joe Hicks of Martin.
