Ms. Kara Hicks

Kara Hicks, B.A.

Kara Hicks graduated with her B.A. in Psychology from Miami University in Ohio.Prior to Ms. Hicks, graduate studies she counseled sexual assault survivors and worked for several years in adult mental health residential programs.She is currently in her final year at Boston College Graduate School of Social Work and will receive her MSW in May 2006.Ms. Hicks spent the last year facilitating child activity based, social skills groups at the Academy of Physical and SocialDevelopment in Newton.Currently Ms. Hicks is a Social Work Intern at Two Brattle Center, and is co-leading groups in the Transitions andAfterschool Programs, as well as providing clinical administration in both programs.She is also co-leading one Freestanding DBT Skills group.Ms. Hicks is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers.
