Every evening during Advent, through Monday night, people were invited to walk the labyrinth and ponder images and statements about peace, said Julia Hicks, director of mission. All are welcome on New Year's Eve and anytime, she said.
"We would really hope folks walking our labyrinth, especially right now, would really be contemplating on peace," Hicks said."A number of our members are going to Washington to march against the war, so we are really focused on peace and justice right now."
In January, the congregation will begin renovation of its sanctuary and will build an inlaid hardwood labyrinth into the floor in the back half, in the Chartres pattern."It's huge - we're really excited about it," Hicks said.
