Shawn P. Hennigan, M.D. received his premedical education at Delaware Valley College and his medical education from the Temple University School of Medicine.Following a five-year residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Rush-Presbyterian-St.Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, IL, he completed a one-year fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.

While Dr. Hennigan continues to practice general orthopaedics, he has a particular interest in operative treatment of conditions affecting the shoulder and elbow.He preforms total joint replacement surgery for arthritic conditions of the shoulder and elbow as well.

Dr. Hennigan also has an interest in sports related injuries of the knee.He has extensive training in arthroscopic knee ligament reconstruction, as well as many of the contemporary cartilage repair techniques.

Dr. Hennigan is on staff at all of the local hospitals.He maintains offices in Clarks Summit and Scranton, and sees patients at our Hamlin as well.

Dr. Hennigan is Board Eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
