ALICIA HENNIGAN, SITE COORDINATOR Truckee Learning Center,2005-06

Alicia enters her sixth year as Site Coordinator for the Truckee Learning Center, and she continues to help the program to flourish.She focuses on planning exciting field trips, teaching engaging classes and helping families in a supportive, meaningful way.She is enthusiastic about the home study program and has high goals for the students and herself.She encourages and expects creativity and exploration from her students.

Alicia earned her BA in English at UC Santa Barbara.She received her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSU Northridge, while completing courses for her CLAD Certification (Crosscultural, Language and Academic Development.) She recently was certified to teach Lindamood Bell speech and language programs, as well.

Alicia has lived in the Lake Tahoe area for seven years and enjoys the beautiful surroundings and many outdoor activities.Alicia and her dog, Otis, hike and play at the lake all summer, and snowboard and showshoe during the winter days.
