Ron Heller serves as a consultant to VR Business Brokers on select, larger mergers and acquisitions.Heller has more than 15 years of investment banking experience, and has advised companies on a broad range of financial activities, including mergers and acquisitions and private financings.

Heller currently assists companies with mergers and acquisitions and private placements as an independent contractor for financial advisory firms such as Newforth Partners and Venturi & Company.Recently, his clients have included OpSource, Wine.com, PhatNoise, AgileTV, Kestrel Solutions and Zeevo.

Heller was formerly a Director in Credit Suisse First Boston's Technology Group in Palo Alto, where he managed the execution of private equity placements for technology companies in the U.S., Asia and Europe, raising a total of more than $1.5 billion for 18 clients.

Prior to CSFB, Heller was a Vice President at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, a Vice President at Venturi & Company, and a Director of Frost & Berman.At each of these San Francisco Bay Area financial advisory firms, Heller advised middle market companies on private placements and mergers and acquisitions.

Heller began his investment banking career with Smith Barney in its Corporate Finance Department, where he worked three years in New York, one year in London and one year in San Francisco in the firm's Technology Finance Group.In addition, Ron worked for two years as a strategy consultant for Bain and Company and for one year in finance with NuMarket Communications, a division of Trammell Crow.

Heller received a B.A. degree in Economics from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Harvard's Graduate School of Business.Heller is an Adjunct Professor in Finance and Accounting at San Jose State University, and has passed the NASD's Series 7 and 63 examinations.
