Following his successful discovery of George Mallory in 1999, expedition leader Eric Simonson and his climbing team joined with Eureka! designer Kurt Heisler to build the dream tent that would meet the challenge of every nightmare Mt. Everest might throw at them.

"The Timberline was the first lightweight, free-standing, double-wall backpacking shelters," says Kurt Heisler, current Eureka! head tent designer.

Eureka! has agreed to provide the climbers with tents designed to suit their needs while on Mt.Everest.Large, modular tents manufactured by Eureka!'s military division will be used for meetings, communications and food preparation at the lower altitude Base Camp.On the middle of the mountain, high-performance Eureka! K-2 XT's and Summit XT's tents will be used.
