Kevin Heisler - Head Coach

Kevin is entering his 9th year as head coach of the SMU Cross Country team.Kevin obtained his Bachelor of Physical Education from Dalhousie University in 1976 and has been teaching in the Halifax area for 25 years.In 1994 Kevin graduated from Saint Mary's with a Masters of Education in Administration.He holds a Level III certification and his coaching highlights include: Canada Games Middle Distance Coach, 1981, 1985, 1989; Junior Men's Coach in 1992 World Cross Country Championships in Boston; Senior Women's Coach at the 1993 World Cross Country Championships in Spain; Senior Women's Coach at 1996 Chiba Ekiden Relay in Japan; Head Coach Canadian team at 1997 Pan Am Junior Championships in Havana, Cuba; Head Coach at 2002 Beijing Ekiden Relay.This past year, 2004, Kevin was coaching Canada at the 2004 World Cross Country Championships in Brussels in March.He coached the Junior Men's team and the Senior Men's Long Course team.
