Mr. Heisler concentrates his practice in estate and business planning, with emphasis on the succession and transfer tax problems of families that control public and closely held companies.His clientele includes public and private corporations and their executives and shareholders, professionals, individual investors, trust beneficiaries, trusts, estates and foundations.
Mr. Heisler currently serves on the board of trustees of the Shedd Aquarium and is a member of its executive committee.He also serves as Chair of Planned Giving Committees of the Shedd Aquarium and the Art Institute of Chicago and is a member of the Planned Giving Committee of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.He is a former president of the Harvard Club of Chicago and a former Chairman of the Winnetka Caucus in Winnetka, Illinois.Mr. Heisler was a member of the District 36 Winnetka, Illinois Board of Education from 1985 to 1989.
Mr. Heisler is a member of the bars of Illinois, Florida and the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Illinois.He is affiliated with the Chicago Estate Planning Council and is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.He earned his J.D. and A.B. (magna cum laude) from Harvard University.
