(Livonia,MI)-- Kurt L. Heise, an associate at Cummings, McClorey, Davis & Acho, will be speaking to the Conference of Western Wayne (CWW) on Friday, June 14 regarding the creation of a new Rouge River Watershed organization designed to manage the complex regulation, financing and planning for the many projects underway in the 42 Rouge Watershed communities.
Heise, chairman of the Rouge River Remedial Action Plan Advisory Council (RRAC), is one of the seven selected leaders in the Rouge Watershed who has been working since October 2001 to develop this new community-based regional watershed management assembly.It will eventually be charged with coordinating and funding most of the federally-mandated water and sewer projects underway in the counties of Wayne, Oakland and Washtenaw.
The CWW is a consortium of 18 western Wayne County mayors and supervisors that meet monthly to discuss issues such as legislation, transportation, the environment, public safety, community and economic development, employment and public health concerns.
Heise received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in Political Science (1988) from the University of Michigan; his Juris Doctorate degree (1991) and his Master of Laws degree in Labor Law (1993) from Wayne State University.
