For several years he worked with an entrepreneurial software company that wished to enter the case management systems market for firms of solicitors.

His research interests are in blended learning, management education and enterprise 2.0.

He joined the Salford Business School (before the Information Systems Institute) as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in 2003 and was appointed as a Lecturer from the 1st January 2006.
