Flat Rock River YMCA Camp in St. Paul, Ind., tried to market itself as "cheaper than taking your kid to Disney World," executive director Steve Heiny said.

Steve Heiny, Executive DirectorSteve, an Indiana native, began his YMCA camping career in 1992.He worked 9 years as the assistant director of YMCA Camp Woodstock in Connecticut.He worked with YMCAs in Massachusetts and South Carolina.Steve has also worked at YMCAs in Russia, Australia, Czech Republic, and Brazil.Steve has a degree from Purdue University in Elementary Education.He lives at camp with his wife and two children.
