  Thomas Heinrich is a graduate of the Eastman School and Cleveland Institute of Music and made his solo debut with the Vermont Symphony at age sixteen.He is a member of the Colorado Symphony and Principal Cellist of the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra and the American Sinfonietta.Previously, Mr. Heinrich taught cello and theory at Memorial University of Newfoundland and has appeared with the Lonetree Symphony, the Up Close and Musical Chamber Orchestra, and with Janos Starker and the American Sinfonietta performing the Vivaldi Double Cello Concerto.

  Well, I also got to wondering if anyone here knows Thomas Heinrich, cellist with the Colorado Symphony.

  Hi, I've been taking lessons with Thomas for about 3 years now and think he's a great teacher.

  I went to school with Tom at CIM!He is a great cellist and a very thoughtful musician.He has studied with some fabulous teachers - Alan Harris, Steve Doane etc..He therefore has alot of information from those particular teachers about the "set-up" on the cello such as bow grip etc..

  Mr. Heinrich is principal cellist of The American Sinfonietta and a member of the Colorado Symphony.He has also served as principal of the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra, the Cleveland Chamber Symphony and the Banff Opera Orchestra, and as assistant principal under Leonard Bernstein for the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra.As a chamber musician, Mr. Heinrich has collaborated with Ida Kavafian, Jesse Levine, David Krakauer, Elmar Oliviera, Eiji Oue, David Hickman, the Cavani Quartet, and members of the New York New Music Ensemble.
