Corvallis attorney Steven Heinrich, Ph.D., has been elected secretary of the Oregon State Bar's elder law section.
A member of the section's executive committee since 2001, Heinrich has been a frequent speaker on matters related to elder law.He has been invited to present material at the 2004 Gerontology Conference at Oregon State University, Individualized Movement and Physical Activity for Children Today, the Corvallis Parkinson's Support Group, Corvallis Senior Center and other venues.He has been involved in changing statutes affecting seniors in Oregon and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, an organization that focuses on legal advocacy, guidance and services to enhance the lives of people as they age.
Heinrich has been a speaker at several statewide continuing education presentations organized by the Oregon State Bar, has served on the elder law section's agency and professional relations subcommittee and currently co-chairs the section's continuing education subcommittee.
Human issues from cradle to grave are the focus of Heinrich's practice.He handles cases involving divorce, custody and visitation as well as such elder law issues as wills, trusts, estates, probates, guardianships, conservatorships and Medicaid.
