    Sonja Heinrich - BiologySonja grew up in Cologne, Germany, but tired of the ordinary life at home she set out to explore places beyond Europe.She moved to New Zealand where she graduated with a diploma in Zoology and a MSc in Marine Science and fell in love with the furry and blubbery mammals of the sea.Her study subjects became her passion.For the last four years, Sonja has been working as lecturer, naturalist and expedition leader aboard expedition vessels in both the Arctic and Antarctic.When not aboard ships, she pursues elusive dolphins off Isla Chiloe in southern Chile for her PhD research at the University of St Andrews in Scotland.
