Bob Heinrich brings to our firm strong analytical, management, and general business skills obtained through operational and consulting experiences.Mr. Heinrich adds great value to our firm in the areas of estate planning and wealth maximization, as well as executive compensation and corporate benefits.Mr. Heinrich will direct a team of analysts and service professionals within our Schechter Insurance Advisors and Schechter Wealth Strategies divisions.

Mr. Heinrich has practiced law in Chicago and Detroit for over seventeen years specializing in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities laws.He also served as the C.O.O. of Fender Musical Instruments, the world's largest manufacturer of guitars.Mr. Heinrich received his BA from the University of Virginia and graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, Magnum Cum Laude.

Bob joined the Firm in September 2000 and is a member of the Firm's Business Transaction Group.Prior to joining the Firm , Bob was the General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in Scottsdale , Arizona.In this capacity , he handled a wide variety of issues for global consumer products manufacturing and distribution company both as a lawyer and a businessman.Before joining Fender , Bob specialized in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance as a partner in a Chicago law firm.

Licensing and Entertainment

Bob has managed and negotiated extensive trademark and patent licensing programs for a major international brand.He also developed and managed worldwide trademark protection schemes for a portfolio of over 100 marks.He has drafted and negotiated software licenses and rights agreements for vendors and end users in the financial and manufacturing areas.He has also had considerable experience in the entertainment law area with respect to endorsements , personal appearances and the rights of musicians and composers.

Mergers and Acquisitions

Bob has handled a large number of acquisitions and divestitures for public and private companies.In particular , Bob has extensive experience representing private equity funds , venture capitalists and financial institutions in acquiring and investing in start-up and middle market companies.

Corporate Law

Bob represents corporate clients in a wide variety of legal matters , including the initial organization of C and S corporations , limited liability companies and limited partnerships.As a former corporate general counsel he has handled a full array of legal issues effecting the day to day operations of a business , including antitrust and minimum pricing issues , international trade and distribution , employment and labor matters , factory development and relocation , environmental matters , dealer and distributor terminations , equipment leasing , corporate finance , floor planning and other receivable/inventory finance vehicles , web-site development and e-commerce , marketing and advertising matters and licensing.Bob has worked extensively with private companies preparing to go public.

Corporate Finance

Bob represents clients in structuring and placing private equity and debt offerings.He also represents borrowers and financial institutions in structuring and negotiating senior and mezzanine loans for working capital and acquisitions ( on both a secured and unsecured basis ) and receivable and inventory financing vehicles.
