Our Director Rolling Hills Chorus is delighted to have Lucy Heinkel as our frontline music director (pictured right).Lucy began directing the chorus in 2005.She has since led the chorus through a series of major performances and Sweet Adelines North Pacific Region 13 competitions, where the chorus has placed as Division A Champions twice in her tenure ... so far.

Lucy is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a degree in music education.She previously taught music in grades 1-12 and presently is a substitute teacher.She actually started singing with Sweet Adelines when she was 3 years old since her mother, Jo Yetter, is a charter member of the Rolling Hills Chorus.

Lucy has performed with both Rolling Hills Chorus and the Spirit of Spokane Chorus.Her leadership, enthusiasm and great knowledge of music, especially the barbershop style, make each rehearsal and performance a joy.When not teaching, caoching or conducting, Lucy is home with her husband and darling little boy.

Lucy is assisted in guiding the musical life of the chorus by our assistant director Kathy Brown (left) and Choreographer Julee Perry (right) along with our experienced team of vocal section leaders and assistant choreographers.

Rolling Hills Chorus proudly announces the appointment of our new Director, Lucy Heinkel (pictured r.) effective as of September 13, 2005.Lucy is a graduate of Brigham Young University and presently is a substitute teacher in music.Lucy also directs a youth choir at her church.She actually started singing with Sweet Adelines when she was 3 years old since her mother, Jo Yetter is a charter member of The Rolling Hills Chorus and rehearsals were sometimes at their home.Lucy was also an actual member of The Rolling Hills Chorus and loves barbershop music.Her qualities of leadership and great knowledge of music, especially the barbershop style, have endeared her to us and made chosing her as our new director an easy task.While not teaching or directing, Lucy is home with her husband and darling little boy.
