Mr. Gregory Heinkel

Gregory Heinkel , J.D. , is a patent attorney who prepares and prosecutes patent applications.He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to practice law in California.Mr. Heinkel's technical experience includes five years of research at Bio Rad Laboratories , and over four years of research at Affymax Research Institute.He has also worked as a patent agent for Affymax.

Mr. Heinkel has extensive experience in the field of high throughput drug screening and was a co-author of a peer-reviewed publication and co-inventor of an issued U.S. patent in this area.His experience also includes testing of various gene transfer technologies , scale-up of bacterial and yeast fermentation processes , enzyme production and purification processes , PCR and sequencing of very short DNAs containing nucleotide analogs , and development of receptor binding assays.He has designed and built many of the electrical and mechanical prototype instruments used in his research.

Mr. Heinkel received a B.S. in Biology , with concentration in Molecular Biology and a minor in Chemistry from California State University , San Jose and a J.D. from the Santa Clara University School of Law , where he received a High Technology Law Certificate and the American Jurisprudence Award for excellence in Constitutional Law.
