Rolf Heimann, MD, PhD, Director, International Medical Management & Safety Dr. Heimann directs the operations of the International Division Medical Management and Safety group for Premier Research.He is board certified for Pharmaceutical Medicine in Switzerland and has more than 20 years experience in different European pharmaceutical companies as a medical manager and medical director.He worked five years on the board of directors of the German subsidiary of Chiron (US) responsible for Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Denmark and furthermore on the board of PFC Munich, the German subsidiary of a Swiss CRO.He has also worked as an independent consultant for pharmaceutical companies for medical monitoring and drug safety.His total drug safety experience includes more than 15 years.His therapeutic focus has included the clinical development of an anti-TNF drug plus other areas including Alzheimer's Disease, rheumatology, vaccines, multiple myeloma and other oncology indications, cachexia with COPD or CHD, diabetic gastroparesis, osteoporosis, RLS and CABG treatment.Dr. Heimann had worked as an investigator in Phase II - IV studies in urology and gastrointestinal diseases.As Qualified Person (QP) under German Drug law, he was responsible in an international HIV project and provides QP support for current client programs.
