Heimann named Knox men's tennis coach
Knox College has hired Kevin Heimann to take over as head coach of the Prairie Fire men,s tennis team.
The 2002 graduate of Knox was a four-year men,s tennis letterwinner and currently places 5 th on the all-time doubles career record list with a record of 50-21 and 9 th on the all-time career win record list with a record 90-43-1.
Heimann, a native of Galesburg , Illinois and 1998 graduate of Galesburg High School , currently holds a professional rating of 2 by the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), the world,s oldest and largest association of tennis-teaching professionals.USPTA certification requires applicants to demonstrate abilities in tennis operations and business skills, tennis teaching and playing skills, stroke analysis, and group and private lesson instruction.
Heimann replaces former Prairie Fire coach Sean Jennings.

Heimann is currently substitute teaching in the Galesburg School District and has taught private and group lessons upon graduation from Knox.
