Leslie Heier, a Stockton native, has been appointed associate director of United Cerebral Palsy of San Joaquin, Calaveras and Amador counties.
Heier has more than 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector.In the past, she served as program director at Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, Conn.The camp was designed for children with cancer, leukemia and other blood disorders.Heier was interim executive director at Child Abuse Prevention Council.
Before joining United Cerebral Palsy, she was development director at Women's Center of San Joaquin County.

Heier recently received the Women Making A Difference Award from Soroptimist International, Lodi Sunrise.
Heier graduated from California State University, Sacramento, with a bachelor's degree in communication studies with an emphasis in public relations and marketing.She resides in Wallace with her husband, Rodney.
