  PEBBLE BEACH-- Adam Heieck has been promoted to Managing Director of the Northern California Golf Association Foundation.Heieck started his career with the NCGA as a USGA PJ Boatwright Intern in March of 2004.As the NCGA's fifth Boatwright intern, he worked with all aspects of the association, including communications, handicapping and tournaments.After the completion of his internship, he was promoted to the newly created Foundation Services Administrator position.For the past six months, Heieck has headed the Foundation while working closely with the Foundation Board.
  
  Founded in 1989, the Northern California Golf Association Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization.The Foundation operates under its own volunteer Board of Directors separate from the NCGA, yet maintains strong links to assure continuity of purpose and performance.The Foundation, by way of its support of various programs in Northern California, provides opportunities to introduce life skills and values.
  
  Heieck has spearheaded the Foundation's latest program, Youth on Course.While the organization funds a variety of junior programs every year, Youth on Course is the newest way to reach kids in junior programs.The Youth on Course program is designed to allow every junior in a structured program to become a full NCGA member for only $2.This will permit junior members to play golf at area courses for $3 or less on 9-hole courses and $5 or less on 18-hole courses.Heieck has already negotiated with golf courses to lower their rates for youth on course participants, and if necessary, the Foundation will subsidize the golf courses.
  
  Originally from El Dorado Hills, he graduated from Clemson University, earning degrees in political science and communications in three-and-a-half years.
