Mrs. Robert E. Hedges

Dr. Hedges attended St. Andrew School and graduated in the Columbus Academy , Class of 1978.He graduated from Stanford University with honors majoring in molecular biology and physics.While there , he was the recipient of several grants for research and publishing in neurobiology under the direction of Dr. Peter Sargent of Stanford University Medical College.He graduated from Cornell University College of Medicine , NYC , completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of California , San Diego and served as Chairman of the Medical Ethics Committee at Tucson Medical Center.Dr. Hedges had practiced psychiatry since 1993 at Palo Verde Behavioral Health.Ted Eazer , Chief Executive Officer , said Dr.Hedges continued seeing patients even as he rose to a management position where he served as Medical Director and member of the Board of Trustees , as he oversaw the growth of the company. Dr. Larry Cronin stated , He was a highly intelligent , respected member of our team , one of our best leaders and a community leader.It's a tragic loss.He will be sorely missed by his many patients , family , and friends.He was one of our very best. He was a devoted husband , son and father who had coached his daughter's soccer team.Dr. Hedges was an active outdoorsman who graduated from the Colorado Outward Bound Survival School , Denver , Co.He enjoyed camping , mountain climbing , bicycling , and cross-country skiing , and the beauty of nature.A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Andrew's Catholic Church on Saturday , March 10 , 2001 at 11 a.m. Private interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.In lieu of flowers , the family requests that contributions be made to the Bruce Hedges Memorial Fund c/o National Bank of Arizona , 3611 N. HERRON Claude E. Herron , 86 , of Springfield and formerly of Columbus , died Tuesday evening , January 16 , 2001 in the Ohio Masonic Home.He was born January 23 , 1914 in Lockbourne , Oh. , the son of Homer E. and Edith ( Eseman ) Herron.
