Heath is vice president and general manager of Stryker Instruments and a former Hornet football and baseball coach."The Guilds get people to connect and that's what we do at Stryker," Heath said."Once a team develops a collaborative spirit it's time to spread that culture to the rest of the group."He encouraged Guild members to trust and rely on one another, comparing their collaboration to a flock of geese in "V" formation, in which leadership rotates and everyone's success depends upon the contribution of each individual.His address was followed by break-out sessions, during which each of the four Guilds discussed ways to promote teamwork through this year's Guild activities and explored potential collaborations with other organizations and departments on campus.
