Portrait of John HassedJohn Hassed was appointed to the position of Deputy Chief Executive of the Northern Territory Department of Employment, Education and Training in 2004 with responsibility for the Employment and Training and WorkSafe portfolios.

Prior to this John held a number of executive positions in the Queensland Public Service including General Manager Training Services, Department of Employment, Training and Industrial Relations and Director Workplace Relations, Department of Training and Industrial Relations.

He has also held senior management positions in the Queensland Department of Education and has qualifications in business and industrial relations.
