James Harvey is director, EDS University Leadership Competency Centre.In this capacity he is responsible for development and delivery of training programs for EDS' global population of managers and executives.The Leadership Competency Centre provides a full range of developmental services to EDS, including assessment, coaching and mentoring, digital learning, and classroom-based learning.

James joined EDS in 1978 and began his management career in the Dallas Regional Data Center.He pursued his operations management career in Dallas, Detroit, and Plano through 1987.In 1987, James made a career-changing move to training and development as an assistant director within Technical Development.While in Technical Development , James' organizations were responsible for training and development programs in support of EDS' technical, consulting, and account management populations.

In 1996, James moved to A.T. Kearney as global director, Professional Development.His organization provided development and delivery of training programs for A.T. Kearney's global population of consultants and executives.He remained in A.T. Kearney until early 2001, at which time he joined EDS University in his current role.

James received a bachelor of business administration degree in management information systems, summa cum laude, from Northwood University and will graduate in December, 2002 with a masters of business administration degree from the University of Texas at Dallas.
