Having worked for the company since 1982, in 1999, Debbie Gosselin purchased Watermark from her father, Ed Hartman, with a vision of expanding and diversifying the public sightseeing cruises offered on the Chesapeake Bay and continuing the commitment to excellence in private charter service.

Watermark Cruises was founded by Ed Hartman in 1972 as Chesapeake Marine Tours and offered 7 ½ Day on the Bay Cruises to St. Michaels and tours of Annapolis Harbor on Harbor Queen.Over the last 30 years new tours, water taxi service and private charters on luxury yachts have been added.
