  Mr. Hartman has over 30 years of experience in property/casualty insurance and risk management.Presently he is engaged by two New Jersey law firms.One of these cases is an insurance broker errors & omission dispute over a water damage claim that was denied by an insurance company.The other case is a bad faith claim handling dispute over an insurance company's failure to defend an additional insured under a commercial general liability insurance policy and the wrongful application of the pollution exclusion.In both of these cases he has prepared insurance expert reports that were submitted to the court.
  
  In the recent past he has advised law firms in New York, New Jersey and Texas that represented insureds and insurers in various disputes.

  Before establishing his private practice in 1997, Mr. Hartman was a Principal and leader of Ernst & Young LLP's risk management consulting practice in New York.He held a similar position at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.In his combined 14 years with these CPA firms, he conferred with many audit clients on matters pertaining to insurance coverage, claim disputes and insurance brokerage performance.
  
  Mr. Hartman began his career in risk management in 1974 with the world's largest insurance brokerage firm, Marsh & McLennan.He then became the corporate risk manager of INA Corporation in Philadelphia.Returning to New York in 1981, he joined Aon Risk Services, then the second largest global insurance broker.
  
  Mr. Hartman has an MBA in Finance from Michigan State University and a BA from Calvin College.He earned the Associate in Risk Management "ARM" designation from the Insurance Institute of America in 1978.

  He was a director of the Self-Insurance Institute of America from 1991 to 1993 and a chapter president of the Risk and Insurance Management Society in 1980.He was admitted to the Society of Risk Management Consultants in 1998.
