I'm going to ask James to pass long your message to Stephen Hartley of the ANBLS who are, I understand, spear-heading the monument preservation project.

Keeping in mind the approaching anniversary of the ANBLS, Steve Hartley has asked what might be done to enhance the pillar, established on the meridian of the observatory, and its neighbourhood.Among other things, he suggested that a bronze plaque might be more appropriate.The ANBLS could be interested in making a "contribution" of some sort.Steve would like our suggestions as to what might/should be done.

Norm Cote and Stephen Hartley of the Association of New Brunswick Land Surveyors will be presenting a Brown Bag Lecture at 11:30 AM in B-8 on the following topics:

The branch chair, Wayne Walsh [BScE(SE), 1986], officiated with judging by several branch members, including Norman Coté and Stephen Hartley [both BScE(SE), 1981].
