  An earlier collaboration with Professor Jean Hartley, in the Institute of Governance and Public Management (IGPM) at WBS has resulted in the development and use of the Warwick Political Leadership Questionnaire (WPLQ).At present Clive is working with Jean on a high-profile research project, called ,Leading with Political Awareness, which is based on a survey of 1,500 managers in the private, public and voluntary sectors, for which the report is being launched at the House of Lords on June 12 2007.

  Jean was the lead AIM Public Service Fellow and is a Fellow of the Sunningdale Institute of the National School of Government, the British Academy of Management and the British Psychological Society.She was previously Senior Lecturer at the University of London's Birkbeck College.She has previously held research and teaching posts at the Universities of Manchester and Sheffield.
  
  Her research interests include innovation and improvement in public service organisations; political and managerial leadership and leadership development; employee reactions to change and uncertainty, and organisational and cultural change in public services.
