The company, based in Chevy Chase, Md., supplies commercial doors, frames and hardware to commercial general contractors and commercial projects.Hardware Corp. operates seven subsidiaries around the country, including a second Florida operation in Miami, called HCA (South Florida).
Hart said that part of the agreement in buying the Holmes division was that the company would move into a new facility the first quarter of this year, and he said he expects to make the move by the end of February.Adams Interior Contractors of Orange Park is handling the $255,000 renovation, according to the building permit.

Hardware Corp. has provided doors, frames and hardware to area projects that include Alltel Stadium, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Clear Channel Communications, Butler Plaza and others, as well as Disney World, according to Hart.
The company bids on projects and then buys and resells the doors, frames and hardware for the projects, although it does fabricate some steel door frames and provides some limited fabrication of wood doors, he said.
As for an economic slowdown, Hart doesn't see one in North Florida."I think the market is very strong," he said."We are busier than ever and we see more work than ever.If there is any slowdown, I certainly can't see it."
In addition, Hart said the $2.2 billion Better Jacksonville Plan and the preparations for Super Bowl XXXIX, scheduled for Alltel Stadium in February 2005 will boost business, too."This is a great market," he said.
