Mr. Hart died Tuesday , February 27 , 2001 in Wallace Thomson Hospital after declining health.Born in Kelton , October 31 , 1921 , he was a son of the late Duncan and Louise Gallman Hart.He was a member of Foster's Chapel United Methodist Church and teacher of the Carlisle Hart Sunday School Class for many years.Mr. Hart was a member of the Board of Directors of Broad River Electric Cooperative , a former member of Union County Board of School Trustees , representing the Jonesville area.He was a graduate of Kelly Pinckney High School and retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural route carrier for Jonesville.

Surviving are his wife , Margaret Garner Hart , of the home ; daughters , Mary H. Youngblood , Havre De Grace , Md. , Margaret H. Ledford , Spartanburg ; brothers , John Hart , Winston-Salem , N.C. , Frank Hart , Marion , Luke Hart , Whitmire , Russell Hart , Spartanburg ; eight grandchildren ; four great-grandchildren.He was predeceased by a son , James Hart.
