Mark Hart , office manager for Century 21 Real Estate in Omaha , said that while Level 3 stock was pushed hard and heavy , Omaha is large enough to absorb the losses.

No way has it affected the housing market ( overall ) , Hart said.That's not to say people didn't lose their homes , but I personally don't know of anyone..

He added that he had friends who bought on margin , but knew it was a risk and had other investments.

You take a hit and move on , Hart said.
