John Hart

John Hart, the senior partner of Baum Hart & Partners is in Bangalore, primarily to meet the team at Bit by Bit, working on PFACT (Project Financial Appraisal and Costing Tool).He arrived at Bangalore on 1st August 2004 and is going to be here till 6th August.

He had a meeting with the Sepia team on 2nd August to discuss future enhancements to Sepia.

It had been a long time since we had a visit from John.What made this visit more memorable was the fact that Eirian and John made the trip together.

The party went on till 12.30 am and John was the life of the party, regaling everyone with anecdotes of his past association with India and an account of how he came to be associated with Bit by Bit.It was a memorable evening, thanks to John and Eirian and Raghu for making this party happen.

This was done with John Hart who was here during the first week of November. Hence the Pfactian could not enjoy the whole week of festivities.

John Hart of BHP was here from May 8th to 12th and a party was arranged in John's honour on May 12th.Due to the uncertain weather, the venue was Hotel Pingara.It was a great party with John and Muthukumar emceeing the show.

February also saw John Hart (Senior Partner, Baum Hart and Partners) come to Bangalore.He was primarily here to discuss his current baby pFACT with the pFACT team.As all of you have been aware pFACT has been growing from strength to strength and has added on 3-4 new clients in the last month.John was mentioning that the success rate of demo converting to sale is over 90.0 %! Today, Chris Reed, (Partner, Baum Hart and Partners) is coming over to visit the MeSALS team to discuss the current version and the brand new Version 4.

A party was thrown on 18th Feb on account of John Hart's arrival and grand success of PFACT.

John Hart, our Senior Partner, recently returned from Ghana after a successful trip leading a team of international consultants and local officials charged with the task of advising the MoH on activity-based costing methodologies.

Amongst their conclusions, the group reported that such costs would help improve internal management of services, provide the inputs required for planning and budgeting the next five-year programme of work and also provide the measures need for considering alternative funding strategies.

Plans are afoot to introduce ABC to a cross-section of regional and district hospitals, health centres and clinics throughout Ghana before rolling it out to all facilities.John says "Its been an exhilarating experience!
