SOUTH PADRE ISLAND — Chad Hart's eyes are half-lidded and bloodshot. They aren't always that way, he explained with a voice hoarse from yelling.
He has been up late nights, making sure the spring-break events organized by his company, Inertia Tours, go off without a hitch.
"I'm out there with (the spring-breakers) every night for six weeks," Hart said.
...
Those extras make Inertia popular with many spring-breakers, Hart said.
"People who haven't been here don't always want to figure out what's good and what isn't on their own," he said.
...
"Each year, there are fewer spring-breakers heading to South Padre, and at the same time we keep growing," Hart said.
...
What can you do for me?'" Hart said.
...
Hart still has a few more weeks of late nights to endure before he can get any rest himself — but he already has plans for when all the spring-break activity finishes.
"I'm going to Machu Picchu with my mom," he said, referring to the ancient Incan city on a mountain northwest of Cuzco, Peru.
"We bought a tour package," he added.

"Higher-end beachfronts are really what's going," said Chad Hart of Inertia Tours, one of several agencies that specialize in spring- break packages."They're just saying, 'What's awesome? That's what we want."'
While the Internet has allowed students to book their own hotels and research their own activities, he said plenty of students go for package deals that include meals, club passes, an evening cruise and a jaunt to the Mexican border -- particularly the girls.

"This is the first [year] that MySpace will host an event during Spring Break," said Chad Hart, president of Inertia Tours, a student travel company.
While promoting Spring Break to its online users, MySpace worked with Inertia Tours of South Padre Island for the first-ever event, Hart said.
"[Inertia Tours] already brings in thousands of students and because of my logistics I could help put together the package," Hart said.Three to four thousand college students are projected to attend Wednesday night.
"The event concept is a complete MySpace event."
Interested partygoers will remain in suspense when it comes to entertainment—much like the club's management, Hart said, because MySpace wanted complete control of the party.
MySpace has not divulged plans for its disc jockey, music or comic entertainment for South Padre Island, Hart said. The party will include tarot card readers and fortune tellers.
"Who knows if a standup comic will work," he said, "but we will sure as heck find out."

"People feel better about spending money this year," said Chad Hart, president of Austin-based Inertia Tours LLC, which will send 5,000 students to South Padre Island this year."We've been sold out since January."
