Abigail HartAbigail Hart is a textiles conservator and is responsible for establishing the Textiles Department and delivery of Textiles training at CCMC.Abigail's initial qualification was a Bachelor of Arts and Post Graduate Diploma in Art & Design.In 1994 she also completed a three year postgraduate diploma in conservation of textiles at the Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London, United Kingdom.This training was assisted by grants from the ArtGallery of NSW, The Monuments trust (a Sainsbury Family Charitable Trust) and Friends of the Textile Conservation Centre.After graduation she held an Art Foundation position at the National Gallery of Victoria for three years where she worked on the establishment of the Textiles Conservation Department.After leaving the NGV she completed a Certificate in Small businesss administration and established and ran her own thriving textiles conservation practice for seven years.Abigail is the current AICCM textiles special interest group convenor.
Cushla HillOriginally from New Zealand, Cushla graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Arts.She then moved to Canberra where she undertook a Bachelor of Applied Science at the University of Canberra.Following a period of private practice in Canberra and teaching at the University of Canberra, Cushla then moved to Melbourne to take up the role of Paintings Conservator at the Centre, a position she has held since 2002.Cushla has attended a variety of conferences in both New Zealand and Australia.She is currently completing a Master of Arts (Art History) from Auckland University.
Raaf IshakRaaf is a Conservation Technician at the Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation.He is also currently completing Post-Graduate Studies in Architecture History and Conservation Practice.
