Rev. Roald Harswick, pastor of Atonement Lutheran Church in Green Bay, said a positive outcome of the Schiavo case is higher public awareness in end-of-life issues.
"If people want their wishes followed, they should put them in writing so that the family doesn't have to struggle with those kinds of decisions," he said.
But Harswick said a negative outcome of the Schiavo case is the intrusion into a personal situation by outsiders, from House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, R-Texas, to Jesse Jackson.

Harswick advised people to let go and not be afraid of death.
"From a religious perspective, there's something better beyond this life," he said.
